Academic Review Board (ARB)
The ARB is the final step of the grade appeal process. This committee meets as needed. The ARB consists of at least three faculty members and one student.

Accessibility Advisory Committee
This group reviews college accessibility in accordance with the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and related laws, guidelines and best practices. The group has three subcommittees: Policy/Guidelines Team, Physical Access Team, and Digital Access Team. Quarterly meetings TBA.

Calendar Committee
The Academic Calendar Committee, which consists of faculty, staff and administrators, meets to review and discuss proposed academic calendars for future academic years. Goals/Outcomes: To create, finalize and review academic calendars to meet the needs of the college community. Dr. Diane Nyhammer’s office usually sends out a call for members in the late fall and meetings typically occur in December.

Counseling & Advising Coordinating Council (CACC)
Open to all. CACC provides a means for counselors, advisors and other staff interested in getting updates on instructional programs and other programs. Instructional divisions typically present annual updates at CACC.

Emergency Needs Fund Committee
The purpose is to provide financial assistance to students who have a need that is unusual, unexpected, or exceptional (such as injury, death of a family member, catastrophe, food insecurity, housing insecurity, unexpected losses, etc.).
Goals/Outcomes:
Establish a process to provide the emergency needs fund scholarship
Review applications and make recommendations to the Director of the Foundation and/or the Foundation Board
Promote and raise awareness of the Emergency Needs Fund for individuals/groups to donate to and for students to submit applications

Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee
This committee participates in the review of applications and selection of recipients for the Waubonsee Foundation scholarships. This is a seasonal committee. We have two rounds of scholarship selection. The first round runs from February-March, and the second runs from May-June.

Honors Task Force
The Honors Task Force is made up of faculty members who review practices to ensure students have opportunites for intellectual growth.

Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention Task Force (SVAPT)
The purpose of SVAPT is to ensure WCC is providing a safe environment and practical measures to prevent, report, and address issues related to sexual misconduct. Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM)
SEM is a cross-institutional initiative that focuses on enrollment goals, including recruitment, retention and student success. This committee is made up of four teams. The Retention team is looking for more faculty members to join.

- Retention The Retention Team is focused on increasing the retention and success rates of all students and especially those groups who have shown gaps in persistence at Waubonsee. Our work is centered on:
Cohort Retention and Persistence Data - establishing college-wide baselines and goals
Guided Pathways - identifying/strengthening programs and services to support each student along their academic pathway
Institutional Awareness and communication - especially with faculty

Student Conduct Board (SCB)
The SCB consists of up to three faculty and staff members up to two students. This group hears conduct cases to determine if a student is responsible for violating the Code of Student Conduct and provides recommendations for sanctions. The SCB participates in at least three hours of training each semester. SCB hearings are scheduled on a bimonthly basis, virtually via Zoom from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Hearing dates are determined by survey responses to Conduct Board member availability.
The Integrity Project (TIP)
TIP consists of faculty and is led by the Dean for Students. TIP was established to create the plagiarism and integrity statement and to provide resources to faculty to address and readdress plagiarism and academic misconduct in the classroom. The Integrity Coach program was designed by TIP members to serve as a sanction possibility forStudent Conduct Board (SCB). Faculty who volunteer to serve as an integrity coach meet with students sanctioned by the SCB two to three times to help the student process and learn why the behavior was of concern and possible long-term consequences of academic misconduct as related to the student’s field. TIP Committee meets three times per academic year, typically from 3:30-4:30 p.m.The integrity coaches participate in an annual training and meet with students as needed.
