Sync Online is similar to face-to-face learning except course instruction and student participation occurs through a video conferencing platform (such as Zoom) allowing students to engage with faculty and peers in real time. Required synchronous sessions, days, and dates are identified in the syllabus. In general, at least 1/3 of the course is delivered synchronously.
Examples of Sync Online include:
- Lecture/Lab meetings are 100% synchronous via zoom during scheduled days and times.
- Lecture/Lab meetings are 50% synchronous and 50% asynchronous.
- Lecture/Lab meetings are 2/3 synchronous and 1/3 asynchronous.
- Lecture/Lab meetings are 1/3 synchronous and 2/3 asynchronous.
